The annual congress of European animal by-products processing industry took place last 21^st and 22^nd June 2018 in Barcelona in order to discuss about the future challenges of the sector.

Spain is the second European producer of animal by-products, whose processing industry is grouped in the Asociación Nacional de Industrias Transformadoras de Grasas y Subproductos Animales (ANAGRASA), a sector technologically prepared and with experience in transforming these materials into new resources.

It is an industry which works for the safety of food chain of animal origin and that contributes to the transition towards a circular economy, by means of an efficient management of animal by-products.
